Due to the lack of interest in my advert I had to return back home!
I have antibiotics to take as a preventative measure against infection as I have half the amount needed to be able to have chemo again. Oops!
I was told this morning that I could go but was told to stay away from anyone who is even mildly ill. I have to take my temperature once an hour to check I am ok. And I had to promise that if my temperature reached 38.0 that I would ring and go back to hospital.....ok, I reluctantly said!
I spent my day packing up all my stuff (why do you go in with 1 bag and come out with 7!?)
Then nattering! Hope I helped encourage and support the others in there. I like to make a difference!
After sorting through an entire carrier bag full of tablets and sifting through my discharge letter, generally trying to work out what all the big words meant, I was free to go.
Said goodbye and came home. To be met by Flynn...what a sight for sore eyes!
Huge long awaited cuddles....he's changed! More grown up.
I now plan on sitting on the sofa and taking it easy....and more importantly spraying myself with antibacterial spray and wearing a dust mask!
So good to be home after 10 days.
Ive got just over a week to get an immune system back up and running as its obviously put my treatment into question. We will see!
Ive now unwrapped the rest of my presents and cards. Thankyou so much to everyone! I love my cushions, note book, bracelet, photo frame (just to mention a few) and my rather large duvet suit!....I look like a giant jelly baby!
